How Do I Get My CEUS Online?

Its that time again: you need continuing education units (CEUS) to renew your professional license or credentials. Certification organizations, government licensing boards, and professional societies require continuing education (CE) for licensing. While some people plan carefully and attend courses, conferences, and seminars, others get caught behind. Such is the predicament facing nurses, marriage and family therapists, and social workers in need of continuing education every few years.

The International Association for Continuing Education and Training gives the following definition of a Continuing Education Unit:

One (1) CEU is equal to ten (10) contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.

One contact hour is 50 consecutive clock minutes in a board-approved continuing education class or activity.

Instruction must come from a continuing education program recognized by the licensing board of your particular profession. Upon completion, your CEU records not only supply evidence to licensing boards of successfully passing the courses, but they also give employers information about your training.

Luckily, getting CEUS is easier than ever with the internet. Whether youre an LCSW, an MFT, a nurse, or another professional in need of continuing education, there are a variety of CE offerings online. Online CEUS offer several advantages:

Save time. You can complete CEUS online at your own pace. If your deadline is approaching quickly, you dont have to wait for books, materials, or tests to be mailed back and forth. You can finish your online education in a matter of a few days, whereas through traditional mail could take up to 30 days. You also dont have to wait for your conference or seminar to roll around and save commuting time.

Gain Instant Access. After signing up, you get immediate access to reading materials and tests. You receive instant feedback on your test scores, and upon successful completion, you can print the course certificate from the comfort of home.

Save Money. The online environment does not have the same overhead that conferences, seminars, and colleges do. Most online courses cost less than $10 per CEU. Compare that to hundreds of dollars youd pay for CEUS at conferences or college courses.

Make sure your online CEUs will be accepted.

When considering online CEUS, verify that your course will count towards your CEU requirements. Requirements vary by state, so be sure to check with the professional licensing board over your jurisdiction. Save yourself the hassle: get an answer in writing before you start.

Ezine Advertising for Home Based Business

Have you ever considered ezine advertising for your home based business? If not, youre truly missing out on some valuable exposure to your business. Ezine advertising can be a powerful tool if you follow the right guidelines and you will be successful.

Always include quantifiable benefits when writing an ezine advertisement and actually tell the truth. For instance, if you say lose 5 pounds in 5 days, people will actually be interested in that and believe it is possible at the same time. Distorting the benefits wont help at all; it will make the advertisement look like a scam more than anything else.

When creating a solo advertisement, alter the copy so that it specifically portrays the product as a solution to a specific problem. Purchase several solo advertisements to test how well this version converts when compared to other versions. Testing is vital if you want to continually improve the conversion rate of your advertisements.

This is very vital for ezine advertising members to realize. Always look for word of mouth referrals for ezine before you place advertisements. In many cases, no matter how good your copy is, you will find that certain ezine simply will not be responsive to your email. This might be because the ezine isn't actually as big as the owner claims it is and it might also be because the owner hasn't promoted the list in a year.

Think on a professional level. Make sure you format your ezine advertisement correctly before you send in to a publisher. In most cases, you will have to format your advertisement to 60 65 words; and you may even want to perform a spam check. If the text isn't formatted properly, lines will be broken and wrapped unprofessionally; and if you don't perform a spam check, it may never even go through in the first place.

When creating a top sponsor advertisement, avoid making an attempt to sell anyone on anything. Instead, give something away completely free that will up sell the reader later, such as a subscription or a special report. Additionally, make sure you clearly communicate that nothing is for sale and that you simply want them to take action for free.

Become a software application provider for ezine owners. Ask ezine owners what software applications they need and then hire someone to create an application for you. Distribute this software to all of the ezine owners who have a use for it. Make sure there is some back-end component build in that will drive users to your site.

Now, moving from our last point about ezine advertising we will now discuss when outsourcing any work you are doing as part of an ezine marketing campaign, remember to carefully check for plagiarism and theft. This is definitely an unpleasant thought, but plagiarism has become quite rampant on freelancing sites. If you own several websites, you can use Copyscape to do this for you; however, each site will be limited to 20 scans.

How to Explode the Traffic to your Website for little or no cost

Let me start off by saying that there are millions of people around the world online today either trying to sell something or looking for a new home based business opportunity to get involved in. The Internet is the one place where you can capture the multitude of new people coming online everyday looking for a way to make some money. So how do we get these prospects to view our website or product without spending a fortune?

Listed below are the top 5 ways to start to get massive amounts of traffic to your website.

Viral marketing classified site

Get involved in a viral marketing classified site. The one I recommend to all my clients is www.1MillionFreeHits.com. The signup is free and there are no hidden costs down the line. Remember the illegal pyramid schemes that cropped up about 10 years ago that promised you to get rich for just a small investment if you signed up 5 people and they did the same and so on. Well this is the same concept however it works incredible with classified ads. Visit the site for full details and view the How to Promote page. Plus with thousands of new people coming online everyday looking for a money making opportunity this can literally go on forever! Its a must to include with the promotion of your website or product.

Email signature file

This may sound obvious but many people do not include this simple method of getting free hits to their website. Include an email signature file in every one of your emails. In this signature file that goes at the bottom of your email message include a short description of the product you are currently promoting with a link attached for people to visit your site. Think of all the emails that you get in a day. With this short message at the end of each of your email replies you wont believe how many extra hits you will get to your site. It even works well with junk email that you get from other people trying to get you to visit their sites. Just reply back with something like this:

Thanks will check it out

Plus add your signature file here.

People will be curious and click on your signature file, and you will receive a bunch of extra hits from the people that were sending you junk mail.

Submit an Article to Online Directories

One of the best ways to get an incredible amount of free traffic to your site is though articles that you write and submit to online directories. Website owners and Ezine publishers are always looking for good articles with fresh material that they can include in their websites and newsletters. Its really not that difficult just sit down and think of all the interesting things about your product that people would be interested in. Right a short say 500 word article and submit it and you wont believe how fast your article will be picked up. The way you get hits to your website is through the resource box that is listed at the end of the article. This is where you say a little something about yourself and include a link to whatever you are promoting. There are 1,000s of directories to submit your article to, and the best way to minimize the time involved is to submit your article using special software created just for this purpose. If you would like a list of the best ones available at the present time, just send me an email with Article Submitters in the subject line. The one thing I must warn you is not to make your article sound too much like a sales letter for your product or the directories wont accept your article for distribution.

Free, Free, Free

People love to get things free, whether its an ebook you have written, or some kind of new software that will help them promote their product online. There are even ebooks out there that you can get the resale rights to and rebrand it with your name. By giving something away free is a perfect way to get new names to promote your product to. Here is how I promote a free ebook and always get a big response.

Free Ebook - Traffic generation with an amazing viral idea Plus no name or email address required.

So do some research and find yourself a couple of free items what you can promote which will again attract free visitors to your web site.

New Cutting Edge Marketing Method

So far everything I have mentioned in this article has been free for getting traffic to your website. There is one new piece of software that I have come across that I thing will explode the traffic that you will get to your website. I feel its the most incredible advertising method that I have seen in a long time. Its called Peel away ads and the curiosity that it instills is a must to include in any marketing campaign. Time Recording - Is it Worth The Effort?

It has been said that the process of recording time, if not managed properly, can be worse than not having any recording system at all - like the old adage "garbage in, garbage out!" Some firms have come to the conclusion that it is not worth the effort.

Opportunity Cost

Some argue that the time captured through having a Time Recording system readily available doesn't always compensate the opportunity cost of recording it. Certainly, It is relatively easy to quantify the time taken to capture and process time worked. The cost of someone on a hourly charge-out rate of say 50.00 spending 15 minutes every day inputting their time will be in the region of 3,000 per annum; multiply this up by 20 staff and that is 60,000 in lost time!

Conversely, attempts to quantify those elements of time worked and not charged are extremely subjective. "What you don't know...you never miss!" or so the saying goes. So, by not recording your time you are actually saving money!? Moreover, so the argument goes, it is pointless to record work undertaken on a fixed fee basis because nothing else can be billed.

Don't record your time?

If you're not recording your time at all, then you have two options; you can either invoice a similar fee to the previous one for the particular job or agree a fixed fee based upon fees charged for similar work done for other clients. The information will be there, because it is a part of your accounting system that you have to maintain properly to satisfy regulatory bodies; i.e. an outside influence is forcing you to do it!

If your firm doesn't feel the need to record the work done by it's employees, do you have some method of recording when they are in attendance at work? Not many professional firms require their employees to 'clock in and out'; but some professional firms, that don't record work done or record when employees are in attendance, suffer because of it. Some employees, of professional firms, fall into patterns of becoming late, or provide the excuse 'I'm working from home today'. So how do you know how much time has been lost if you don't record it?

Those who do not record their time may have a suspicion that some jobs are paying better than others, but won't know for sure how well or how badly they are doing on individual jobs. If their company is in profit, they will believe that they are doing well. They could possibly do better, but they don't know where the improvements need to be made. Conversely, if their accountant has the sad duty to inform them that the company is making a loss, then the first order of business is usually to cut costs (down-sizing etc. etc.); perhaps the first order of business should be to analyse the work done in the past to see how efficiency can be increased now and in the future?

So, how can you analyse the work done in the past to see where improvements need to be made if you aren't recording the work you do?

So, record your time by writing it all down?

If you are recording the work you do, the cheapest option must be to record it in your diary. This may be OK if you're a one-man band and have only a couple of clients, but getting hold of all the diaries from twenty or so staff on a Monday morning can be a little fraught with difficulty. Recording on bespoke Time-Sheets seems a better option, but there is still the difficulty of obtaining them from all your staff on time, so that the process of collating the information can begin.

How are such Time-Sheets to be designed? Should they be designed so that information can easily be obtained for payroll purposes, i.e. one person, one Time-Sheet? Or should they be designed with the purpose of collating them for billing - perhaps one Time-Sheet per job per person? With the former, manual collation of Time-Sheets for billing purposes is fraught with difficulty. If Time-Sheets are designed so that there is one sheet per person per job, then you may have several Time-Sheets for each person for any particular week and certainly several Time-Sheets per job. How would you know if one was missing?

Recording time manually, regardless of the individual charge-out rate, takes, on average 15 minutes per day. The actual time is dependent upon the type of work done, with some staff recording one job for the whole day, while others record a couple of dozen jobs in one day! If you're only recording one job per day, you're less likely to miss recording it than someone who is recording a couple of dozen jobs.

Making sure that you don't miss recording time requires that some checks be carried out. If your employees are paid according to the hours on their Time-Sheet, then one check could be the employees themselves. If some staff time has not been recorded then the member of staff concerned would receive a lower amount than they expected and would, perhaps, complain? Would they complain if they got more than they were expecting? Payroll departments of professional practices rarely use Time-Sheets for the purposes of calculating gross pay; they simply divide annual salary by twelve. So without employees or the payroll department providing a check on the time recording process, what other checks can be done?

To do it properly, someone would have to take every item on every sheet and record it in a client or job-specific ledger, then close off those ledgers for the period and check the ledger balances against a control account balance (Opening Balance plus sum of all new Time-Sheets less sum of Invoices in the period should equal the Ledger Balances). I don't need to tell you that this is very time consuming work; especially if it doesn't reconcile.

So, record your time but collate it all on a stand-alone system?

Those who believe that having a computerised standalone system is a cheaper option have a point, but it is not as clear cut as it seems. Let's paint a picture of a small, but growing firm whose staff record their work on Time-Sheets and pass them over to an administrator early the following week for entry into the computer. Firstly, there is the time taken to process everything. Only one person can use it at a time; data entry of twenty or more Time-Sheets, with all the attendant records, takes a considerable period of time. If Time-Sheets are late in or not available, the whole Billing Process is delayed. Secondly, note that you are a week behind with the information that you are going to use, then ask the question "How do the management know that everything has been posted correctly?" Well, the main check has to be a comparison between the original Time-Sheets and the entries made in the computer. Some computerised systems will be better than others in this regard; but not!
e that there is an assumption that has been made here, and that is that individual staff members have recorded their time correctly, in unambiguous terms and legible writing. There are some professionals out there whose handwriting is not always very clear; although, I believe this to be the exception rather than the rule. Nevertheless, mistakes are sometimes made and this is not always picked up straight away through comparison with the original data source, and sometimes the mistake isn't discovered at all! Staff must be made responsible for checking their own Time-Sheets. Ideally, though I am not aware of this happening in any firm that I've had contact with, staff members should be provided with a hard copy of the facsimile Time-Sheet from the computer so that they can check and verify the entries made on the computer.

Then there is always the possibility that management don't agree with the employee's original recording on their Time-Sheet. I have known instances where staff have recorded work done to "Office Time" when it was for a specific client, especially where budgets are involved. Conversely, I have had experience of managers wanting records changed from Office Time to specific clients, or from one client to another. In these instances, the staff member concerned isn't always informed of the change; often discovering the evidence of it at a later date. Moreover, the ease with which the computerised system allows such changes to be done is not often considered when choosing a Time Recording programme; the only thing that matters is whether it can be done or not! Some systems require that two postings are done for every correction; one to eliminate the incorrect entry, the other to effect a correct posting. Sometimes such systems create their own problems as the incorrect entry and c!
orrecting entry often still appear in Work in Progress Reports and have to be "matched off" with each other before they are truly dealt with.

Another problem is that administrators count themselves lucky if they have the opportunity to receive training on the use of Time Recording programmes and often struggle to use the often complicated software. In such circumstances, adjusting incorrect postings can send stress levels through the roof! Not very good if that person is also the only member of staff who knows how to use the software!

Standalone systems, can work well, if the Time-Sheets arrive on time, everything is clear and legible, and the correct checks are made to ensure that everything is posted as it was originally intended.

So, record your time on a networked system?

The is arguably the most expensive option. Not only is there the actual cost of buying and installing the software on every machine required, there is the cost of training each member of staff to use it, both in terms of paying an outside entity and the opportunity cost of the lost working time. If no training is given then, the opportunity cost is sometimes greater. Staff often resent being asked to post their own time into bespoke software; even in the case where they were recording it manually before. Some even resort to active resistance! Records being incorrectly posted deliberately! Manual Time-Sheets still being completed (hanging on to the old system) before being entered into the Network System! Result - disgruntled staff, loss of earnings, and poor quality information!

This isn't always the case however, if a Time Recording programme is chosen for ease of use, so that staff can easily enter records, check their entries, and amend them if necessary. The time taken to learn how to do this, and how to print out the reports they need, should be, and is minimal. The real training should be for the administrator responsible for day-to-day maintenance of the Time Recording programme and perhaps for management who often need a greater range of reports and analysis of records. A well designed Time Recording programme should assist the user in every regard. Help on any area should be available at the touch of a button. Manuals should be clear and concise. Some software providers do not feel they are providing value for money unless their manual is at least 300 pages long! How many of your staff want to search through such documents? Do you have the time?

Is the Networked Time Recording System 'live'? i.e. can you record work done in the morning and use the information for billing in the afternoon? Do you have to stop recording work at any stage so that the administrator can carry out specific procedures? Can you obtain correct reports as at any historic date? If you have a system that can provide such flexibility of use, then there are distinct cash-flow advantages. You can also subtly change the culture from one of a more laissez faire - "it'll be OK next week" to a more urgent one - "let's get the job done and bill it!"

Does the Networked Time Recording System provide management with the opportunity to - analyse work done in detail? - compare effective hourly rates for each job?- see where improvements can be made? or is it simply a programme to store and retrieve records?

Even if you have such a Networked Time Recording System, mistakes can still be made. If you choose to bill before taking a controlled check of the time entered, i.e. printing off weekly Time Sheets and checking them for record accuracy, then you may subsequently find errors in data entry and may miss the opportunity for charging for all of the work done.

It seems important then, for some periodic checks to be done before the Billing Process takes place. Staff should be encouraged to check the entries they've made immediately after posting them; but blanket checks of all entries on a daily basis seems a bit excessive. Ideally staff should print out a Time-Sheets on the following Monday morning, sign it to approve the records shown and hand it in to the administrator for filing; but we live in the 'real world'. Professionals are skilled at circumventing unnecessary and unenforceable bureaucracy. Many professional's would just smile at the administrator and ask them to print off their Time-Sheet for them. Errors can go unchecked, regardless of the best efforts of others.

So, to make the time recording process function properly on a network, what should we do?

The best option is perhaps for individual managers, or Team Leaders, to print off the Time-Sheets for members of their Team and to check through the entries made, with the individual Team Member if so required. This can be an effective management tool. Some managers might begin with the opening remark "I notice you've put down over four hours last week to ....... Was there a problem with the job?" Team Members take responsibility for the work they do just as Team Leaders take responsibility for their team and the work they do. Team Leaders can then keep hard-copy Time-Sheets for members of their team as a safeguard. Team Leaders can then indicate, to the person responsible for the Billing Process, that the records for his team are accurate and complete so that the client can be billed for the completed job.

It is possible to go one step further and have Team or Project Leaders carry out the Billing Process, but I make no recommendations about delegating the task of negotiating a price for a job to every Team Leader. If there is detailed information readily available to Managers about work done on jobs, then they know exactly how many hours will need to be worked, by whom and exactly how much this will cost if a similar job is to be undertaken again. The Manager knows exactly how much leeway there is to play with; and in a competitive marketplace, this can be the difference between getting the job and making a profit, and getting the job and making a loss.

Essential Points

A firm may continue in existence for many years, even making a profit for all of that time, but if work done is not analysed to see where improvements should be made, then any attempts at changing the way that jobs are done can only be assessed with their effect on net profit. There is no detail in this figure and no further scope for analysis and resultant recommended action. If a firm does record work done, then periodic checks should be made to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the records.

Manual collation of Time-Sheets is very time consuming; checking them to a control account, even more so. Computerised collation on a Standalone System can speed up the process, but it is still comparatively slow, Time-Sheets may not always be available, may be ambiguous and have unclear or illegible writing. The Billing Process may also be delayed. In addition, some Computerised Systems do not make it easy for an administrator to adjust entries made.

Networked Time Recording Systems should be chosen for ease of use, having the ability for employees to easily enter records, check and amend entries made as necessary. Such systems can suffer from a failure to check records properly. However, Team Leaders can use Networked Time Recording Systems as a powerful management tool and can not only check Team Records, but can play a major part in the Billing Process and make it happen more quickly after a job has been completed. Senior Management can also analyse work done so as to obtain better information about job performance and be able to quote accurately for new work.

Any Time Recording System that doesn't involve periodic checks on records, for accuracy and completeness, is likely to result in billing errors that may prove costly. Having everyone record their working time, and performing checks to ensure that it is accurate and complete, ensures that if any work is not charged to a client, then it is a management decision rather than by failure to capture the data in the first place.

In conclusion, if you don't record work that you do, then you don't have enough control over your business. If you do record the work you do, and have people checking the records, then your business has the control it needs to move forward in a competitive marketplace.

Practice Exams

There are a lot of ways that you can study for important exams. The problem is that some cant just look through a textbook and pick up what they need to know. I know that when I was in college I always took really great notes in class and always tried to study my text book, but I never did as well as I wanted to do on my exams. One roommate I had suggested that I try practice exams. Though it was a bit of extra work, the extra work did the trick.

There was no Internet when I was in college, but now that it is something that many use, you can find practice exams on almost any type of subject that you can imagine. You can find some for younger children and you can find practice exams for college level courses. It might be hard to find ones that will really mimic what you are going to really be tested on, but you may find something close. You might even find online friends who go to different schools. They can help you by giving you past questions from tests they have taken, and you could do the same for them.

Just remember that practice exams are meant to jog your mind more so than they are to give you answers to your tests. The act of answering the questions will jar something in your mind when it is time to take the real test. As long as the subject material that you choose is very close to what you are studying, you may find these are quite helpful. They really cant take the place of proper study and notes taking in class, but you will find that they will help you out.

If you think these are something that you want to try, and you cant find anything online, you might want to talk to your teacher or your professor to see if they have anything that you might use. Perhaps they might have old tests that they no longer use. They might allow you to use them for practice exams. If you can get your hands on these, they might really give you an idea about how well you are understanding the subject material and where you need to do more work. If you still feel like you are struggling with the work, you might have to go another step further and look for a one on one tutor.

Phishing on the Pharm: How Thieves Combine Two Techniques to Steal Your Identity

Bob squinted at the email and began to read:

"Dear eBay User, as part of our security measures, eBay Inc. has developed a security program against fraudulent attempts and account thefts. Therefore, our system requires further account verification"

Security Measures. A threat to suspend his account to prevent "fraudulent activity". The email went on to say that there were "procedural safeguards with federal regulations to protect the information you provide for us."

Bob clicked the link and was confronted with an authentic looking logon page, just waiting for him to input his user name and password and confirm what ebay supposedly didn't know.

He almost did it. The page looked absolutely authentic, and he had already been "set up" by the email message. His fingers were poised over the keyboard when he happened to glance at the URL.

There was something very, very wrong with it.

"PHARMING" TO FLEECE SHEEP

The art of "pharming" involves setting up an illegitimate website that is identical with its legitimate prototype, for example the ebay page Bob was almost suckered into using, and redirecting traffic to it.

"Pharmers" can do it in two ways:

1. By altering the "Hosts" file on your computer. The Hosts file stores the IP address of websites you have been accessing. By inserting a new IP address into the database field corresponding to a website, your own computer can be redirected to the pharmer's website. Any information you give the bogus site is immediately hijacked by the pharmer.

2. Hijacking the DNS (Dynamic Name Server) itself. A DNS matches the names of address with their IP addresses. If this server can be coerced into assigning new IP addresses to traditional names, all computers using the name resolution provided by the DNS server will be redirected to the hijacker's web site.

Once that happens, it's time to be fleeced.

DOWN ON THE PHARM

"Pharmers" hijack your "hosts" file or DNS servers using Spyware, Adware, Viruses or Trojans. One of the most dangerous things you can do is to run your computer without some form of Internet Security installed on it.

Your security software should be continually updating its virus definitions, and be capable of warning you if something has been downloaded from a web site or through email. It should be able to remove it, "quarantine it", or tell you where it is so that you can remove it by hand.

You should also have Spyware and Adware programs installed, and be aware of any change in Internet browsing patterns. If your home page suddenly changes, or you experience advertising pop ups (which may pop up even when you are not hooked up to the Internet), you should run a Virus, Spyware or Adware scan.

Thanks to the efficacy of these protection programs, pharming is a lot more difficult than it used to be. It isn't as easy to hijack a computer as it once was.

So, the "pharmers" have teamed up with the "phishermen" to get you to visit the bogus web page yourself, and enter all the information they need.

PHISHING TO CATCH YOU ON THE PHARM

As Bob discovered, the page he had been taken to by the bogus email message was identical to the ebay logon page. Identical in every way except for the URL.

Out of curiosity, he checked the URL for the ebay logon by accessing ebay directly and clicking on the logon link. The two URL's were nothing alike, except the bogus one did have the word "ebay" in it twice just enough to make it look authentic.

By combining the two techniques, the phishermen/pharmers had avoided the high tech problems associated with downloading a Virus that could get past his protection software. They had gone straight for the throat.

Bob's throat.

YOUR ONLY REAL IDENTITY THEFT PREVENTION AND PROTECTION

The bottom line is that the only real protection against the pharmers and phishermen is YOU. There are three things you must consider when you read any email demanding information:

Why do they want it? Be extremely skeptical when they say they have to "update their records", "comply with federal regulations", or prevent fraud. They are the ones initiating the fraud.

Why can't this be done at the website? Why not invite you to access the website directly and provide this information? The answer is because the bonafide company doesn't need an update.

What does the URL look like? Is it a series of subdomains some of which have the name of the bonafide company? Most likely the subdomain is set up with a free hosting company.

Have they provided partial information about you as a guarantee that the email authentically comes from the legitimate source? Be very careful of this one. This technique is effective for "pretexting", impersonating a person or company, and was used in the Hewlett Packard scandal to collect information. Just because they know your first and last name (and any other information known only to the legitimate source) doesn't mean the email is legitimate. They probably hijacked the information off the server.

THE BOTTOM LINE

The bottom line is: don't provide any information at the behest of an email, no matter how authentic it looks, or how authentic the page it directs you to looks. If you must log in, do so at the parent site itself.

Your Identity Theft prevention and protection is, in the final analysis, up to you.

Don't be the next sheep fleeced by the pharmers who caught you with the phisherman's hook. Being dropped naked into their frying pan is NOT a fate you want.

Becoming an Affiliate - The Fast Track to Internet Marketing

If you are new to internet marketing, and looking for a way to create guaranteed income without having to wade through the virtual minefield of "easy money", "get rich quick" and other online schemes that promise the moon but generally fail to deliver, becoming an affiliate or a reseller and following a proven success formula is the quickest way I have found to develop a positive online cash flow quickly.

This is also one of the most effective ways of learning the skills needed to survive in a very competitive market.

What most people dont tell you when you first start out, is that usually to become a success with an online marketing business, you definitely need to have more than a working knowledge of internet marketing principles and applications. This can take years to master before you see a reward for your efforts. This is one of the main reasons a great majority of new online business owners fail or give up in their 1st year.

By becoming an affiliate you are not only learning from years of successful online marketing experience, but the profits you make from your affiliate membership can greatly enhance your financial circumstances and also give you the funds needed to market your own future campaigns.

Being able to develop multiple streams of income is also a huge advantage, and of course the more streams of income you can develop the better your results will be. As an affiliate this can be achieved with readily available resources and generally at an affordable cost.

Getting traffic to your website is another major factor with online success, and learning through an affiliate programme with a step by step system that shows you exactly what to do, allows anyone to succeed.

The hardest part of marketing online and making a serious income, is not learning how to become an expert marketer overnight, it's picking the right program, product or opportunity, and following a formula of proven success that will enhance your own future online success and prosperity.

For those just venturing into internet marketing, at the following link you will see my reviews of what I believe to be one of the best and most affordable affiliate Internet Businesses to be associated with right now. http://www.multiplereturns.com

For those wishing to learn from success, without paying a small fortune for the privilege, the Pay It Forward 4 Profits System is a 100% generic funded sponsoring franchise system which is revolutionizing the home based business industry...

Being able to copy and duplicate what Joel Broughton & Paul Birdsall, two very successful wealth building internet marketers are doing, no matter what business you're trying to build, is a real winner in my view.

YES, there is money to be made on the internet, but it doesnt come instantly. It does require work on your part, but being able to work with, and learn from affiliate partners who will provide you with the knowledge and resources to build a solid foundation for a successful online career, is definitely worth the time and effort in the beginning.

Anti-Spyware and Registry Cleaner in Conjunction.

Spyware may dump a lot of irrelevant data in the registry. This may also be links of sites secretly being added to your favorite folder list not to mention the number of cookies it creates in the temp folder. Cleaning the registry and running anti-Spyware will help.

Before we understand the need for spyware removal software, let us have an overview of what spyware is. Spyware can be described as software that intentionally transmits information about the user's web surfing habits to a website built into the software or Spyware. This malicious software often referred to as 'adware' usually installs itself on a user computer without the permission or knowledge of the user. Spyware usually accompanied a free download as a hidden component and begins to gather information about the user then delivers this information to the person who put the Spyware on the web. Spyware can be categorized into a number of classes. It may be software that is intentionally installed by the user to monitor the system security, Software that can be created with benign intent to collect marketing data or software that is malicious and installed to collect information such as usernames and passwords for criminal intent. Whatever the reason for the Spyware, it must be removed by using the appropriate software such as many of the free Microsoft Spyware removal tools and then cleaning the system registry with a good registry cleaner.

How Does Spyware Affect The Registry?

The windows registry is a very big file containing information that is required the all the modules of windows to operate the system efficiently. When the system starts the registry is referred to for the permissions that are allowed to the specific user. Accordingly the operating system advances with the boot up process. Each time a new program or hardware is installed in the system a lot of information is added the system registry. However, when programs are uninstalled the registry remains intact. These links and references need to be removed manually or with special software such as free Adware Spyware removal tools or Windows XP cleaner software. It is not advisable to mess with the registry manually as this can wreck havoc with the system. Get a good reliable free Spyware and Virus removal utility if you have to, to do an efficient job for you. Spyware installs itself on the system and makes its entries in the registry as well. These entries are made in many places in the registry. So, uninstalling the Spyware from the programs folder is not enough, the ware must also be removed from the registry and there is no better way to do this than with a Microsoft Spyware removal tools.

Clean The Registry Once A Month

After some time the registry will become slow and erratic because of the useless entries that are not really needed and are just cluttering up the system. The system may even shut down without warning. This is because the registry has become unstable and needs to be cleaned with PC registry cleaner software. It is not necessary that the registry will become because of Spyware or viruses. It may just be too large for the processor or the system resources to handle. Cleaning the registry will make the system more dependable, fast and comfortable to work with.

Using Get and Set Might Be Something Youll Regret

Its an all-too-common pitfall. Programmers who attempt to write object-oriented code decide to make all of their data variables private, while creating public get() and set() function pairs for each one. See? they declare, as they pat themselves on their backs. The data is private, but it can be accessed through these functions. Ive encapsulated my data. Thats what object-oriented design requires.

I think this betrays a fundamental (and exceedingly common) misunderstanding of what constitutes encapsulation and information hiding. Ideally, in an object-oriented design, the user of a software class should have no idea what type of data the class contains. As far as hes concerned, the class should simply provide the required services, and its internal details should be invisible. However, when we provide get() and set() function pairs for each member variable, we are basically announcing the existence of this data to the world. The information hiding provided by this class is weakand arguably non-existent. One might change the name, data type or implementation of this member variable, but its existence remains painfully obvious to everyone.

(Note that I say that the user should ideally be oblivious to the type of data contained within the class. In practice, this is not always feasible. If we were to implement a BankAccount class, for example, most programmers would immediately guess that this class would have the account balance as one of its data members. They would also guessrightfully sothat the owner of this account is likely to be data member as well. Nevertheless, we should avoid needlessly divulging such details, especially when the contents of a class are not so easily discerned.)

In effect, these get() and set() member functions are almost as bad as having public data. Sure, they may provide some useful services; for example, the set() function could validate the data, ensuring that it is within the proper range of values. Nevertheless, they tend to violate the spirit of information hiding, at least to some degree.

Using get() and set() functions is not always a bad idea; in fact, sometimes they make perfect sense. Their frequent use, however, is a pretty good indication of a poorly abstracted software designone that does not adhere well to the principle of information hiding. When designing software classes, we need to think primarily in terms of the services they provide (i.e. their public functions), rather than the data they contain. Ideally, their data implementations should proceed from the required services, rather than other way around.

To illustrate this concept, let us revisit the BankAccount class mentioned earlier. It is clear that the BankAccount object will need to keep track of its balance, so lets make that a data member. A novice programmer (or one with a poor grasp of object orientation) may choose to provide both GetBalance() and SetBalance() functions for this class but does this make sense?

What happens when a user attempts to make a deposit? The user would have to call GetBalance(), add the deposit amount, and then set the new value using GetBalance(). Thats not how real users operate, though; in the real world, there is no need for the depositor to know how much money is in the account. This class design gives the user too much information and requires too many steps.

Similarly, to perform a withdrawal, the user would need to call GetBalance(), subtract the withdrawal amount, and then call SetBalance() to update the account. This also requires too much work on the users part. In the real world, the user should not always be required to know exactly how much money is in the account. This person might want to know that there are sufficient funds, but he wouldnt necessarily need to know the precise balance, and this information should not be a constant requirement.

A sensibly written class should provide the following services instead: DepositAmount(), WithdrawAmount() and GetBalance(). With this design, the data memberthe account balanceis logically implied by the services provided, rather than the other way around. (We could define other services, such as AccrueInterest() and TransferFunds(), but lets keep it simple for now. Note that these services might suggest additional data members; for example, AccrueInterest() would suggest that a data member would be needed for the interest rate.)

In summary, get() and set() function pairs are not inherently bad, but their preponderance could suggest a poorly abstracted software design. Theres nothing inherently wrong with using get() and set() functions when they form part of a sensibly designed set of services. Nor is there anything wrong with using a data member to reflect these functions. When one proceeds in the opposite direction, thoughwhen one starts with the data members, then adds corresponding get() and set() pairsthats a strong indication of a poorly conceived software design.

Notebook As Indispensable Tool For Modern Executives

The significance of notebooks or laptops is increasingly growing in the modern life. The modern-day business has witnessed a phenomenal turn-around at the present moment. Given the hectic schedules and jam-packed daily routines, it has become virtually impossible for almost anyone to perform their activities being rooted to one particular place or work-station. The frequent movements of numerous businessmen from place to another have made them to carry a notebook or laptop in order to perform their business activities, even during traveling.

Notebook refers to a light-weight personal computer which is small in size and conveniently portable. A notebook is usually battery or AC operated personal computer smaller than a briefcase, which can be easily used and carried along in places such as airplane flights, libraries, temporary offices, and at meetings. A notebook is famously known as `Laptop` which typically weighs less than 7 pounds (3 kg) and is about 3 inches in thickness. Some renowned brands associated with the manufacturing of notebooks are IBM, Apple, Sony, Dell, Toshiba, and Hewlett-Packard among others.

One of the most remarkable differences between a notebook and personal computer is the `Display Screen` - notebook computers use a variety of technologies known as `Flat-panel technologies` to produce a light-weight and non-bulky display screen. The display screen of many notebooks is limited to VGA resolution. However, notebook computers have one minor drawback - the notebook monitors that use `Active-matrix Screens` and produce very sharp images, do not refresh as quickly as the full-size monitors of desktop computers.

When it comes to the computing power, the contemporary notebooks are almost equivalent to the personal desktop computers. Typically, the notebooks computers come with a battery pack which enables you to run them without plugging them in. However, their batteries require recharging at a regular interval. Besides, the laptops have the same CPUs, memory capacity and, disk drives as incase of personal desktop computers. Not surprisingly, the laptop computers or notebooks, as they say it, are much more expensive than their bulky counterparts.

Notebooks or Laptops are manufactured in different designs, sizes, weights and memory capacities. The following are some of the main categories of notebook computers which are produced by some recognized companies:

Ultra-portables:

Ultra-portables are laptops with screen-size less than 12 inches and weight of less than 4 pounds (1.7 kg) These laptops do not normally have full-size keyboards. Primarily, it is the business travelers who need ultra-portables because they are small and light. Ultra-portable are very expensive, have extendable battery, power-saving CPUs and integrated graphics.

Thin & Lights:

This breed of laptops, by and large, weighs between 4 and 6 pounds (1.8 and 2.8 kg) and with a screen-size of 12 to 14 inches. Notebooks of this category are manufactured by Sony, Apple Computer and Dell among others.

Medium-sized Laptops:

Medium-sized laptops usually have a screen-size of 14 to 16 inches and a weight of around 7 to 9 pounds (3 to 4 kg). The length and width of these medium-size laptops are generally decided by their screen-size. However, these medium-sized notebooks have relatively less computing power due to their smaller dimensions and longer battery life.

Desktop Replacement Computers:

This edition of notebook computers is chiefly used in a fixed location and not easily portable due to their heavy weight and bulky size. Their screen-size typically measures from 17 to 20 inches. Moreover, desktop replacement computers have limited battery life barely exceeding 3 hours. This is because the hardware is not optimized for efficient power usage.

Notebooks have really become very popular computer hardware. Its portability and affordable prices seem to be very attractive to business executives, and everyone else, who seem to be on the move all the time. As businesses become more globalized, notebooks become a must-have tool item for everyone who wants to be successful.

Spyware, Adware, And The Importance Of Cleaning The Registry

It is important to remove any trace of Spyware from the system registry. This can be achieved with the help of registry cleaner software.

'Adware' is a term that is frequently used to describe software that downloads and resides in the system and displays 'pop-up' advertisements on the screen. There are many sites that allow users to download programs free of cost in return for permission for adware to installed on their system. This permission is, however, hidden somewhere in the 'terms and conditions' or 'agreement' the user agrees to at the time of downloading the software. Adware is also known as Spyware without the malicious streak. It just monitors the users activity on the Internet and the type of software the user uses on the computer. These non-malicious Spyware do, however, affect the smooth functioning of the computer by slowing down the system greatly and must be detected and removed. This can be done with the help of anti-Adware or anti-Spyware in addition the registry must also be cleaned of any entries of the software with the aid of free Spyware Adware removal software.

Spyware With Malicious Intent

Spyware is Adware with malicious content. They operate in much the same way. However, Spyware actually spy's on the user of a computer. Every time the user enters personal details such as credit card information or his username and password the Spyware will record the information and mail it to its masters. This information can be used to fraudulently cause financial damage to the user of the computer the Spyware is installed on. The registry of a computer proactively upgrades the information and data in its records. Every thing that happens on the computer is registered in the registry. This means that the Spyware is also entered in the registry as well and in hundreds of places too. These entries can only be removed effectively with free Spyware removal software such as free Microsoft Spyware Adware removal tool or the famous Yahoo Spyware Adware removal tool.

Spyware Removal Utility Is Not Enough

Spyware, being designed to covertly install and operate on a system makes it very difficult to detect. One of the main indicators of the presence of Spyware on the system is the slowing of the system or 'pop-up' advertisements. In order to collect data and send it to an email address through the Internet, Spyware must pause other programs already running. This is the reason the system slows. Removing Spyware using anti-Spyware tools is not enough because Spyware expects such action and so installs links in different parts of the registry as well. To remove these links from the registry one must use special Spyware removal programs. Many Free Spyware removal tools do a good job efficiently cleaning the registry and remove all traces of Spyware.

The Importance Of An IT Degree

The explosion of the information technology world has created a need for highly skilled workers able to handle heavy programming and tight network security. Every end of the spectrum in the computer world now requires in depth training and knowledge to be able to meet the demands of a computerized civilization. Communications, databases and the number of computer networks mean that anyone breaking into the job market with the hopes of working with technology needs certified qualifications and solid skills to be a contender. Competition for employment is stiff and only those with proper knowledge will get into massive corporations or important jobs. Of course, basic training in PC repair will solidify a long term job for you in a computer store, but with the opportunity to expand your skills into something far more valuable, why limit yourself rather than specializing in programming, video game design or software development?

Working in the technological industry can be very good, as employment conditions are favourable. Most working hours are set at 40 hours per week, geared to when the maximum number of employees are using the networking system or tapping into the administrative database. Also, thanks to that same technology you would be studying, someone with an IT degree can easily work from home and provide the same service to their employer as they would on site. There are, however, some drawbacks to working in an IT environment: emergency situations such as viruses, massive backups or network repairs, or meeting a certain deadline can mean longer hours in the evening or on weekends, though usually not on a regular basis.

Technology changes rapidly and pressure to excel at skills does mean that those who work in the industry must always be continually updating their skills or learning new ones as developments occur. Of course, a secure, long term job position can mean that recycling skills may not be necessary, but should your IT employment with one company come to an end, you may find that you no longer have the qualifications to be competitive in the job market when searching for a new employer. For sure, businesses today nearly always only hire people with IT degrees and anyone lacking that certification won't be able to find a job, no matter how skilled or talented they are.

There's more reason to invest in achieving an IT degree. The job prospectus for someone with high skills and abilities is very good, and the public's desire for bigger, better, and more will continue to push companies to develop new software and find solutions to make individual's lives easier or more productive. Computer scientists and database administrators are predicted to be the fastest growing market for those with an IT degree, so specialization in those areas will ensure that you'll be quickly employed at a good salary. However, even without specialization, most people with an IT degree will land jobs, as companies are also looking for people with a wide range of knowledge, including interpersonal and business skills. Spreading out can make you just as valuable as specialization.

An IT degree provides you with the training so that you'll become a valuable asset to any company. Indeed, most businesses today seek out top students and professionals with certification from the best educational institutions to help them protect their valuable data and keep their computer network functioning at its optimal potential. Picture Perfect System Restore Rollback Rx

Picture perfect: that is how the Rollback Rx snapshot based system restore software works. Recovering lost data can be quite a hassle and cost you dearly in terms of time as well as money. But with RollBack Rx system restore software anyone can repair computer issues. The rollback abilities of Rollback Rx are versatile. They let the user create a snapshot of the whole system so that you can roll back to a specific snapshot of your choice.

User Benefits of the Rollback Rx

Educational institutions usually restore their IT systems back to the start of the previous semester. With Rollback Rx, they can achieve this in just about three mouse clicks. They dont have to use ghost, imaging or mirroring software, resulting in substantial savings in cost.

In the corporate scenario, users set their Rollback Rx to take snapshots at specific intervals. Suppose the system crashes, they can roll back to the last snapshot. Before you install software in the beta version, Roll back can help in testing, recovering or uninstalling applications.

Domestic users can play it safe by taking a snapshot of the system before they try out new software. In spite of uninstalling certain software, remnants of this software are often left behind in the system and registry. This makes the system slower. Rollback Rx does a clean uninstall of unwanted programs.

Sometimes operating system critical updates are such huge files that you are forced to leave the system on overnight, unprotected. Rollback Rx makes the process simple by maintaining these updates. The networking ability of Rollback Rx lets administrators use an Internet based console to configure Rollback Rx installations.

Thus, Rollback Rx can be used to fix computer problems. The pc restore facility is invaluable and deployment can be a large network in an organization or a personal computer used by an individual. Rollback Rx gives your system that extra security to keep away hackers and viruses, which are the two things that commonly put fear in a user. Rollback Rx can recover data even after you format your system. It uses a subsystem and kernel system to protect the PC.

Remote Control

Support through remote control is not an easy process. But with Rollback Rx, it can be. All that needs to be done by the user who is traveling is to reboot and then hit a designated key to do a pc restore to a state where it can function fully. No need to go through the tedious process to bringing back and sending bulky systems. So no more time wasted through lengthy sessions instructing the user to do the right thing!

How to Have Financial Peace

One of the biggest contributors toward personal peace is financial peace. Sometimes it is assumed that financial peace is only for those with endless amounts of money. In actuality, you can be financially secure at almost any income level. Avoiding common financial mistakes is the first step. This article discusses some mistakes that many of us make and how to avoid them.

I'm Too Young to Settle Down

Not investing in a home or buying one too late in life is a mistake that more and more people are making. The reason it is a financial mistake is illustrated in the following example. Let's say Brittany makes $60,000 a year, is single and rents a home for $2000 dollars a month. When tax time comes, she has little or nothing in the way of deductions. In 2005 she would have had to pay $11,665 in federal taxes alone. If she had put that same rent payment toward a mortgage payment instead and purchased a $315,000 home with a 30 year fixed rate of 6.5%, her mortgage interest deduction would have been $20,236, saving her $5,059 in taxes in 2005.

Tax savings isn't the only reason to buy a home. Another reason is the investment it represents. Let's say Brittany did buy a $315,000 home in January of 2005 and its value increased 5% in one year. The 5% increase in value would give her $15,750 in equity by 2006 and she would have paid $3,657 toward principle as well. Let's add it up. Rent money saved, $24,000 + taxes saved, $5,059 + equity earned, $15,750 + principle purchased, $3,657 - interest paid, $20,236 = $28,230, or $2,352 per month saved by purchasing a home. Even if she put $1,000 into that home each month in the way of maintenance, she still would have saved over $1,300 per month in 2005 by buying a home.

But It Was On Sale!

Accumulating debt instead of savings is the next financial error to avoid. Unless debt can almost guarantee you a future return, such as investing in a business, education or your home, it is best to avoid altogether. Even purchasing automobiles with cash is better financially in the long run. As an example, let's look at a household that has a credit card balance of $10,000. Assuming a 15% interest rate, if they pay $150.00 per month on the card and don't put anything else on it, their total interest and principle paid to that card is $21,635 before it gets paid off. It will take them over 12 years to pay it off at this rate. They are paying $80 in interest a month for the "privilege" of having credit card debt.

There is even more to the debt picture, however. Debt is not just one sided, there are opportunity costs associated with debt. If they weren't putting $150 a month toward their credit card, they could instead be putting it into a savings account. Putting $150 a month into a savings account with a 4% rate of return compounded monthly for 12 years would grow to almost $28,000, which is $21,600 in principle and $6,400 in interest earned. So now the real cost of a credit card is the interest paid, $11,635 + the foregone interest from the savings account, $6,400 = $18,035 in 12 years or $125 per month of lost money.

Do You Accept VISA for my Mortgage Payment?

Not having any liquid savings is another area that can end up hurting you financially. The minimum amount to be saved is 3-6 months of living expenses. This will help to cover loss of income or medical emergencies that may arise. This money should only be tapped for major emergencies and not for things like vacations or weddings, which should be saved for in other accounts once the liquid savings has been established. When no short-term savings is available, the risk of bankruptcy increases. With the new bankruptcy laws it is becoming increasingly difficult to erase debt.

Liquid savings is especially important when you have a large income that is not standard across the industry, or when there is not a high demand for the type of work you do. In these situations, finding a new job with the same income may be difficult. This can leave you vulnerable to rushed decisions that can damage you financially for years to come. As an example, I have a friend who had made good money at a software company for 20 years. His income was quite high because he had been with the company for a long time. The company was eventually purchased and he was laid off. He and his family had just finished building and furnishing their dream home when it happened. While they didn't have massive amounts of debt, they didn't have any liquid savings either. In order to get out from under their house payment, they sold their home for much less than it was worth, they also emptied their 401(k) and both had to take low paying jobs just to make ends meet. Now, eight years later, they are just starting to crawl out from under it all, but without their dream home or a retirement account.

Natural Disaster...Here?

Little or no insurance is a mistake that many people make hoping they won't be hit by a natural disaster. Insurance is your best defense against financial ruin in such a situation. Sitting down and talking with an insurance agent is the first step. Make sure that the policy covers those things you are worried about. Set aside the money needed for the deductible on the policy if a disaster does occur. Other things to prepare for in a disaster is the possibility of being out of work for several weeks or months, high medical bills or being left without an automobile if it is also destroyed in the disaster. Liquid savings is the answer to these problems. Remember, just because the home or vehicle no longer exist doesn't mean that their payments have gone away.

I Have Plenty of Time to Save

Not saving for retirement is a mistake that is made all too often. If you do save, there is a good possibility it is not enough to retire on. The findings of the 2006 Retirement Confidence Survey put out by the Employee Benefit Research Institute suggested that many American workers are not prepared for retirement and will have to work far longer than they expect. As an example let's look at Jane who is 55 years old and currently makes $60,000. She hopes to retire at age 65 and has already put away $250,000. By the time she retires, her home will be paid for and she assumes she can live off 70% of her current income or $42,000. If she lives to 90, she will need to have income for 25 years. Let's assume her $250,000 grows at a rate of 7% until retirement and 6% once she starts taking the money out. We need to also account for inflation which averages about 3% per year. In order to have $42,000 per year for 25 years she will need $1,151,243 in her retirement account by age 65. That means she will have to start contributing $58,919 per year for the next 10 years to reach this goal. Obviously that isn't going to be possible. What is possible is for her to push back retirement to age 75 and save about $10,000 per year until then. Her goal retirement age of 65 is not going to be a possibility.

This is a start on the road to financial peace, steering clear of financial mistakes. Learning more about the different ways investment mistakes can hurt you in the long run is the first step in avoiding future problems. Next is to not make or stop making those mistakes. It may take some time to change your habits and actions, but it will pay well in the long run if you do.

Movement Sufficiency NOT Calorie Deficiency

Do you want to reduce your body fat? If so, then you must focus on getting a sufficient amount of exercise rather than only decreasing your food intake. This is critically important! Studies published in Internationally recognized scientific journals as well as my own personal experience from years of exercise and nutrition counseling have led me to understanding an interesting and significant relationship between lack of physical activity and body fat. Not surprisingly, the more sedentary you are, the more body fat you will carry.

I strongly recommend that if you want to lose weight, you should increase your activity as your first strategy. Even being more physically active in general (such as climbing the stairs instead of taking the elevator, mowing your lawn with a push mower instead of a riding mower, moving around instead of sitting still, sitting instead of lying down and even showing some excitement and enthusiasm instead of boredom), will all help to burn calories and reduce body fat more effectively than slashing your food intake with crash diets.

Consider this: A half-hour aerobic workout accounts for far less energy expenditure than our minute-to-minute movement patterns that accumulate over a daytime in the office or at home, including things as simple as washing your dishes by hand instead of using a dishwasher. It all adds up.

It seems that almost everyone has lost sight of the value of being physically active. What happened? Ill tell you the diet industry happened!

Millions of Americans are trying to lose weight, spending approximately $30 billion plus a year on diet programs and diet products. Often, they do lose some weight. But if you check with the same people five years later, you will find that nearly all of them have regained whatever weight they lost! I recently read about a national panel that sought data to determine if any commercial diet program could prove long-term success. Not a single program could do so.

Being overweight, and especially being obese, predisposes you to a number of diseases and serious health problems, and it's now a known fact that when caloric intake is excessive, guess what happens to the excess? Its stored as body fat.

Elevated blood sugar is one of primary culprits, because most people are sedentary while eating an excess of carbohydrates, of both the simple and complex variety. When this happens, a cascade of hormonal actions occurs in order to maintain balance in the body. The more this eating pattern continues the more fat you accumulate and the more difficult the fat becomes to remove. I cannot emphasize enough the need for human movement exercise sufficiency above calorie deficiency!

The lack of movement has many negative effects on your body. For example: a lack of movement causes many negative effects on your joints, ligaments, bones, muscles and your heart such as shrinking of the joint capsules, increased compression loading on your joints, decreased thickness of collagen fibers for failure rate of your ligaments, decreased bone density and bone spurs, decreased muscle mass, decreased mitochondrial content, decreased thickening of collagen fibers for your muscles, decreased maximal heart rate decreased the O2 Max for your heart.

According to Seaman and the Journal of medical physical therapy, "The two main promoters of degeneration are repetitive strain and sedentary lifestyle."

People who diet without exercising often get fatter over time. Although your weight may initially drop while dieting, such weight loss can usually be attributed to elimination of excess fluid. As stated above, when the weight returns, it comes back as fat and more stubborn fat.

As you lose weight via diet only, your body's calorie burning furnace is reduced. What happens is your physiology interprets the dramatic decrease calories and moves on its innate starvation instincts. To avoid getting fatter over time, increase your metabolism by exercising regularly.

In one of my recent articles, I talked about walking as one of the best exercises for strengthening bones, controlling weight, toning the leg muscles, maintaining good posture and improving positive self-concept. Increasing your daily movement can be as simple as walking more.

Another great way to reduce body fat is by resistance training. There are many types of resistance training that are very effective at building muscle (and muscle burns body fat). These programs can be fun and engaging at the same time.

One program I highly recommend is what I call the spin routine. The routine incorporates all different movement patterns, aerobic and interval training, in addition to resistance training. This type of routine really burns fat. For example: 3 minutes of aerobic training (alter variety and intensity) and 2-3 resistance exercises done in a row with no rest. Repeat the cycle as many times as you wish.

When it comes to good health and weight loss, exercise and diet are inter-related. Exercising without maintaining a balanced diet is no more beneficial than dieting while remaining inactive. However, decreasing calories taken in from food is not the same thing as increase calories burned through exercise. Movement sufficiency, not calorie deficiency has far greater power to get you lean and healthy for life.

What To Look For In Anti-Spyware Solutions

Given how serious a threat spyware is, all antispyware solutions should ideally do a complete PC clean. The antispyware software must have the tools that make it easy to detect and remove spyware and adware. It must also be able to prevent spyware from getting into your computer.

With spyware such a serious threat, there are certain specific characteristics that must be expected from spyware or adware detection and removal software. Ideally, all antispyware solutions must do a complete PC clean.

Any software that picks up information from your computer without your awareness can be called Spyware. Some spyware just tracks your Internet connection and information related to your operating system. Other types of spyware pick up personal data like your browsing behavior and spies on your private files collecting data it can relay to outside parties.

Obviously most people wouldn't allow spyware into their computers. Most people do not mind some tracking of data, provided personal information is not included. But they don't appreciate their computer being spied upon without their approval. When there is no antispyware installed, spyware does worm its way into the computer and gathers information.

To avoid the spyware problem, what should we look for in an antispyware solution? Read on.

Basic Features To Look For

The antispyware software must have the tools that make it easy to detect and remove spyware and adware. Detailed descriptions must be provided after you scan your system so that you have the choice of deciding whether you want to delete or retain the entry. The antispyware must be able to auto update itself with the latest definitions of spyware. It must have the facility of auto scheduling so that you don't have to manually do it each time. If you happen to accidentally erase something, you should be able to reverse the action.

Effective And Ease Of Operation

Your antispyware must not only detect and remove spyware and adware but also be able to prevent spyware from getting into your computer. It must be able to remove the maximum kinds of spyware and adware. Above all, you must find the antispyware easy to use. The language used must not be so complicated that you spend your time just figuring out what they mean. The antispyware scan must be quick and run in the background. Customization should be easy. You should be able to scan specific parts of your computer. You should also be able to choose which items to exclude from scanning. While setting up and installing the antispyware software should be easy and quick to download and install.

The antispyware software should have a help file that is easy to consult. If your queries go beyond that, you should be able to get in touch with product customer support that responds satisfactorily. The right kind of antispyware can keep your pc spyware and adware free and protect your own privacy.

So Many Affiliate Programs! Which One Do I Choose?

You need to ask questions first before you join an affiliate program. Do a little research about the choices of program that you intend to join into. Get some answers because they will be the deciding point of what you will be achieving later on.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliates site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

If you would like to see some of the Affiliate Programs that answer the above Questions go to http://www.myfreesurveys.com/kiwilite/home.htm and have a look.
